Djupadalsbadet opened in 2013 and is a well-visited facility, both for the residents of Kumla and for visitors from other parts of the county and the country. Here you will meet many people and have a varied job that at times requires a high work pace. Djupadalsbadet offers visitors lap swimming, swimming schools, group training, and adventure swimming as well as a relaxation area and gym operated in-house. During the summer, we have our outdoor pool and camping open. As an employee at Djupadalsbadet, you are part of the Culture and Leisure Administration and belong to the Leisure Department, which also includes youth centers and association services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute at Djupadalsbadet's pool and camping, you will work as a lifeguard, property caretaker, and in pool cash service. You will provide a high level of hospitality and service to our customers and give visitors a sense of security both indoors and in our outdoor pools. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that visitors enjoy their time and receive the assistance they need during their visit. With the visitor in focus, this places high demands on service and safety thinking. You will undergo training in CPR and lifeguarding.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to have at least a high school education, be at least 18 years old, and be a competent swimmer according to the Delfinen gold standard. You also need to complete our training in CPR and lifeguarding with a passing result.

Being a competent swimmer according to the Delfinen gold standard means being able to swim 500 meters breaststroke, swim 200 meters backstroke, float 100 meters or for 4 minutes, tread water for 100 meters or for 4 minutes, and dive to a depth of 2 meters, twice from the water surface and twice from the edge.

It is advantageous if you have experience working:

• as a lifeguard
• as a swimming instructor
• with baby swimming
• in reception
• in a café
• in property maintenance

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and want you to be positive, independent, and always focus on the visitor's experience. You should be good at collaborating and a role model in terms of how to treat visitors and provide service.

You need to be available for work throughout the entire summer period (June-August) and during the CPR and lifeguarding training that takes place on April 25-26 and May 2-3. You also need to be available for an interview during weeks 11-13.
